My last blog post prompted a question about kids who bully their parents. My thoughts on this:
There is research that points the finger towards parenting style and morality as part of the problem here. Bully's have difficulty with all the relationships in their lives-including their immediate family members...it's not just a playground phenomenon and the effects can be far reaching. Behavioral problems can be amplified when coping skills are weak and parents who are bullied by their kids may need to seek help for all involved. A team approach may be best provided you can get your child's school on board with the program!

Bullying Parents
Good article on parents who bully-also links to teachers who bully, etc. While we don't like to think parents can be capable of bullying their own kids it does happen and is more common than you might think. The example we set for our kids will effect how they treat others and form relationships so we need to be mindful of what we say and how we say it!
